It started so well

I loved acts 1 and 2 - I started the game when only act 1 was available. However, with act 3, the game became - and still is - very buggy. In my first go on act 3 I completed the mission objectives for the first mission (mosquitos and brew) before the mission was assigned. I could not continue. This update claims this is fixed, but at least for me it is not. I tried again with a new character, smash-hopping over invisible walls and all, and I made it to the point where I was invited to got from upper garden III to the (maybe?) final battle. There, the game crashed again, and I am back in upper garden III, with no way to go back to the battle. If you could really play it, it would be a great game, but as it is it is just frustrating. If you at least could save your progresss in a handful of slots, you could try again if a bug renders the game useless... but you cannot even do that.
